A candidate who has appeared in class 12th exam but his result is awaited can apply for this test. But he can be eligible for the medical course only after qualifying the exam with the required percentage. Such candidates must choose code 01.
If a candidate has taken higher/senior secondary examination or Indian School Certificate Examination, he should choose this code. This is equivalent to class 12th. The candidates must have Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and Mathematics with English as a core subject in 12th class. Class 12th 2019 batch students who have not pursued any other course after 12th have to choose code 02.
The intermediate examination in Science from an Indian University, Board or other recognized body with Physics, Chemistry, Biology /Biotechnology and also English as a compulsory subject. This code should be used by the candidates who have passed the Karnataka PUC examination.
Candidates who qualify Pre-professional/Pre-medical Examination with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology and English as a compulsory subject after Higher Secondary Examination or the Pre-University or an equivalent examination have come under this code.
This code is for the students who are studying in the first year of the three years’ degree course of a recognized University with PCB. The earlier qualifying examination must be passed with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology/Biotechnology with English by the candidates.
If you have passed B.Sc. with not less than two of the given subjects Physics, Chemistry, Biology (Botany, Zoology)/Bio-technology, then you have to fill code 06. Passing the earlier qualifying examination with Physics, Chemistry, Biology, and English is a must.
If a candidate has taken any other exam equivalent to 12th PCB & biotechnology, including practical tests in each subject and English as a compulsory subject should use this code.
Candidates who qualify the exam from abroad and want to apply for medical schools in India have to pass the subjects of physics, chemistry, biology/biotechnology, and English up to class 12th with 50% points.
